Vice President Northern Europe and Southern Africa
As vice-president for UK, Ireland and Southern Africa, Buddie Ceronie is responsible for the success of the Avaya business across the region of UK, Ireland and Southern Africa as part of the company's international growth strategy.
Prior to this role, Ceronie was vice-president of Channels and partner Sales for Avaya in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, responsible for global channel strategy heading up a team of professionals strategically located throughout the globe.
Before joining Avaya, Ceronie spent six years at 3Com as area sales director for UK, Ireland, Commonwealth of Independent States, Middle East, Africa and Nordics. He was responsible for an annual quota of over 200 million dollars managing the largest sales territory in 3Com with over 120 people in 16 offices serving over 30 countries worldwide. Due to his strong performance at 3Com, Ceronie received 3Com Entrepreneurs Award for his contribution to the success of the company.
Previously, he was country manager at Xyplex Networks where he started up a local office in South Africa with just three staff and went on to win business worth over 30 million US dollars.
Also, Ceronie has delivered outstanding results in other senior positions he has held in both sales and IT, including achieving 95% market share in two years of setting up Galileo National Distribution Company. Ceronie has vast experience in building business ventures, driving substantial growth in both revenues and profits.
Ceronie began his career in 1986, and has a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the University of Cape Town. Buddie Ceronie is based in the Avaya UK headquarters in Guildford, Surrey.
